Diethylaminoethyl Methacrylate (DEAEMA) is an ester of methacrylic acid and is used as a raw material component in the synthesis of polymers. Diethylaminoethyl Methacrylate (DEAEMA) is a hydrophobic monofunctional monomer with a low glass transition temperature (Tg) and hence is excellent as a flexible and plasticizing monomer. It forms homopolymers and copolymers which can be obtained from (meth)acrylic acid and its salts, amides, and esters, etc.
Diethylaminoethyl Methacrylate (DEAEMA) is a very useful starting material for chemical synthesis since it easily undergoes addition reactions with a wide spectrum of organic and inorganic compounds.
A Safety Data Sheet has been compiled for Diethylaminoethyl Methacrylate (DEAEMA) that contains up-to-date information on questions relevant to safety.
