Ferromolybdenum (FeMo)

Ferromolybdenum (FeMo) is a metal alloy of iron and molybdenum, typically containing 60% to 75% molybdenum. It is used to impart exceptional strength, hardness and high heat resistance to specialized steels.

Applications areas:

  • Ferromolybdenum (FeMo) is used in the productions of ferrous alloys, stainless and heat-resistance steels, automotive parts,  machine tools and equipment, military hardware, oil-refining equipment, ship propellers, drill bits, screwdrivers, cylinder blocks, ball and rolling mills, turbin tubing, power generators, plastics and inside acid storage containers, to increase the durability of iron by overcoming its brittleness, while simultaneously increasing its hardness, wear resistance, and red hardness (maintains strength at high temperatures).
