2-Ethylhexyl Acrylate (2-EHA)

2-Ethylhexyl Acrylate (2-EHA) is an ester of Acrylic acid and is used as a raw material component in the synthesis of polymers. The ester is a difunctional monomer with a characteristic high reactivity of methacrylates and a branched hydrophobic moiety. It forms homopolymers and copolymers which can be obtained from acrylic acid and its salts, amides, and esters, etc. It is also a very useful feedstock for chemical syntheses, because it readily undergoes addition reactions with a wide variety of organic and inorganic compounds.
