Lauryl Acrylate 1214 (LA 1214)

Lauryl Acrylate 1214 (LA 1214) is an ester of Acrylic acid and is used as a raw material component in the synthesis of polymers. The ester is a monofunctional monomer consisting of an acrylate group with a characteristic high reactivity and a cyclic hydrophobic group. It forms homopolymers and copolymers which can be obtained from acrylic acid and its salts, amides, and esters, etc.

Lauryl Acrylate 1214 (LA 1214) is a very useful starting material for chemical synthesis since it easily undergoes addition reactions with a wide range of organic and inorganic compounds. It is a water-insoluble, low volatility monomer used in oil additives as flow improver, in-floor waxes, textile and metal coatings, paint, varnishes, pressure-sensitive adhesives, low temperature caulks and sealants.
